Abstract

This research aims to develop project based blended learning model to grow pre-service primary teacher students’ creativity in designing lesson plan. This research was conducted due to the increasing needs in the 21st century. The method used in this research was R&D with ASSURE development model consisting of six stages. Product validation was done through an expert’s assessment by using the expert’s validation sheet. Product effectiveness was seen by implementing limited development testing to a particular class with a one group pretest-posttest design and the result was analyzed by using a Paired-Samples T-Test. The result of this research was in the form of a creative learning model based on project-based learning and blended learning to increase the creativity of pre-service primary teacher college students in designing a lesson plan. Validity of the learning model was proven by the result of the expert assessment in learning (face-to-face and on-line), material and instructional media. Effectiveness of the learning model was also proven on the basis of Paired-Samples T-Test of students’ pretest and posttest.

Abstract

This study aimed at improving learning outcome in social science using cooperative learning model type Jigsaw in social science. The model was implemented in a primary school. This learning model was developed into 2013 curriculum-based learning. We conducted the study into cycle 1 and cycle 2, each consisted of 3 meetings. The research subjects were 4th grade students. The research design was arranged based on planning, action, and reflection. Results show that there is an increase in the number of students passing the minimum requirement. Therefore, Jigsaw can improve students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this classroom action research was to improve the mathematical communication skills of 11th grade IIS students in SMAN 1 Blahbatuh. The subject of this study was 32 11th grade IIS students in SMAN 1 Blahbatuh in academic year 2017/2018. The results showed that the implementation of reasoning and problem solving learning model improved the mathematical communication skills of 11th grade IIS students in SMAN 1 Blahbatuh. The improvement could be seen from the students learning completeness that increased 6,3% from 3,1% in the first cycle became 9,4% in the second cycle and increased to be 78,2% in the third cycle. Besides that, students gave positive responses toward the implementation of reasoning and problem solving learning model with mean score 57,2. The improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills happened because of reasoning and problem solving learning model gave emphasis to students through guided-questions in constructing mathematical ideas, gave more opportunities to students in delivering opinion, and gave guidance and motivation to students.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the increase in students’ learning outcomes in social science by applying the student teams achievement divisions (STAD) model with the steps based on Curriculum 2013. This research was a type of a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in 33 fourth grade students in a primary school in Salatiga in second semester of academic year 2017/2018. Data was collected using test and non-test techniques with help of evaluation test and an observation sheet.  Results show improvement of learning outcomes by applying STAD model on social science subjects. The average completeness of learning outcomes increased from pre-cycle to cycle II. At pre cycle, the average was 57.71 with 31,42% completeness, at cycle I was 68.28 with 50% completeness, and cycle II was 70 with 71.87% completeness. Therefore, applying the STAD model can improve the learning outcomes of primary students in social science.
